Alexandre Bilodeau - Two Time Olympic Gold Medalist in Moguls is coming to the Comox Valley to support The I Belong Campaign. He will be sharing with us his Olympic Experience and how his disabled brother Frederic is his biggest inspiration in all that he does. Alex Bilodeau was the first Canadian to win a Gold Medal at the Sochi Olympics in the moguls event and became the first ever to win a Gold medal twice in that event. Many of us will recall seeing Frederick and Alex on TV as he told the world the immense inspiration his brother had been in his pursuit of athletic excellence. Frederick has cerebral palsy.
Alex and Fredrick have agreed to come to the Comox Valley to support the I Belong! Campaign and speak of this special relationship between brothers who are differently abled. Alex will talk of his years of dedication to represent Canada in the Olympics and how his brother inspired and supported him during his journey.

I Belong Campaign - L'Arche Comox Valley
Over the past year L'Arche Comox Valley has been preparing a capital campaign for the construction of a vital community asset to serve developmentally disabled adults. The I Belong! campaign has been developed to raise the funds necessary to construct this 8, 192 square foot facility. It will be a "place of belonging" including residences and a community center with facilities for creative arts and outreach services for adults with developmental disabilities.
Research results indicate strong support for this project. The Objective of the campaign is to raise $800,000. They are very happy to say they are over 50% there!
Proceeds from this event will go to support this Capital Campaign
